This series explores safe spaces and finding community for LGBTQ+ people in Calgary, Alberta. Backstage is a glimpse into world of Calgary   Drag performers. As fears rise in an flaring political climate, these performers depend on their community and finding spaces to exist safely and express their creativity. To ensure the safety of trans and drag performers, these spaces are essential to provide safety and fulfillment that exists when trying to live an openly queer life.
